Hello John

Hello John? At first the name was just an inside joke, a way of letting people know that we liked to party, drink some beers, and play music. Being the youngest band on the original Buzz line up with The Edge was something that drove HJ to become a force to be reckend with. Now Hello John takes on a new meaning of dedication, hard work and a few new bass players here and there. Hello John was formed in 2000. Living in the same area and going to the same high school made it inevitable that the foursome would meet. Music has become a way of life for these individuals, and HJ pushes through any situation that may damper their spirits. All it takes is a little music. With their first EP out in the summer of 2001 things were on the up and up. While all of the band members were unable to drink at the time (legally) when they were asked to play at Donnie Brasco’s for SKA/PUNK night you could find the whole crew in the parking lot waiting to play. Later that same year Hello John was asked to play a weekly show for 103.9 The Edge for yet another SKA/PUNK night. With the growing popularity it was time to hit the studio again, and this is where HJ recorded an eight song EP entitled Courtesy Flush. The Band and the fans anticipated the release of this CD for quite some time, and while HJ was preparing for the release they found out that they would be one of the bands to play on the Ernie Ball stage for the Vans Warped Tour. Since then Hello John has embarked on mini tours across the Midwest independently paid for. They are expecting to release a new EP by fall of 2004.
