Established in the cold, desert air of February 2004, The Heartless, then in a backyard tool shed in Tempe, Arizona, set out to be the biggest rock band in the world. Combining aggressive driving beats with melodic and catchy hooks, The Heartless had discovered their own brand of music and a formula for success.

The band first hit the studio in June of 2005 with producer Bob Hoag to record their first EP, This Could Take Some Getting Used To. The record quickly established The Heartless as a new staple in the Arizona music scene. Through word of mouth and a relentless promoting regimen, as well as regular rotation on local radio and T.V. appearances, The Heartless soon saw their numbers grow both locally in Phoenix and throughout the Southwest. Flagstaff, Tucson, Bullhead City and San Diego were all normal stops for the band as they hit the road to promote their first record; they even rocked crowds at the legendary venues The Whiskey a Go-Go and The Knitting Factory in Hollywood. The Heartless has also shared the stage with some premier local talent as well as national touring bands: Vendetta Red, Authority Zero, Eyes Set to Kill and Greeley Estates, to mention only a few.

Hot off of the success of their first album and leg of touring, the band returned to Tempe to write a follow-up release. In February of 2007, teaming up once again with Mr. Hoag, The Heartless recorded their second EP, Never Say Never. The sophomore release showcases the maturity and growth that the band has experienced through their time together. "We want to be the biggest band in the world," drummer Johnny Lincoln says, with no hint of irony. "We really want to be successful. I think everything we do sells itself. We're set up for success, and we're ready to roll with it."* The Heartless will once again hit the road in summer '07 in support of their new record.
