Makeshift Hero

Makeshift Hero is a rock band hailing from Redondo Beach, CA. They were formally known as AXIS. AXIS gained local fame from the SoCal/Hollywood venues they played at. As their popularity grew, the band started playing at larger venues in their hometown opening up for a variety of national acts such as Smile Empty Soul, Strata and Bleed the Dream to name a few. They also began playing many out of town venues like Hard Rock Cabo San Lucas on No Friends Freakfest and festivals such as Warped Tour. The band recorded 2 demos under the name Axis and have sold/passed out thousands of copies in their hometown. The name change came due to “a bunch of bullshit” dealing with copyright issues and other products sharing the same name. So welcome, Makeshift Hero. Makeshift Hero has currently finished recording their debut Ep (A Perfect Encounter) with producer/Engineer Jeff Hannan in Burbank Ca.
